Arlo SoHo exceeded my expectations from 3/31-4/3/23. I learned about this hotel when I lived in the city 4 years ago as I used to do workout classes on their rooftop and I said to myself if I ever move out of NYC, I would love to stay at this hotel. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive from the front desk folks, to the bar staff upstairs, to the doorman, David. When I checked in the front desk man gave me a free drink ticket because he said I waited too long for him to check me in, which I didn't feel was too long. Then there was David. As I had a few hours to kill ahead of my flight, I worked in the common area, and he asked if I needed a shuttle to the airport, I told him I didn't as I was taking a Lyft and he gave me a suggestion to book the Lyft in advance as the tunnel traffic backed up around rush hour, when I needed to leave. When it was time to go he was very hospitable and put my luggage in my Lyft driver's car and even held my Lyft driver's door for him and said he takes care of those who take care of his guests. I loved the rooftop bar. The weekend I was there was the first time it opened for the season. The drinks were amazing and the servers were extremely friendly. Great people watching too :) I loved the snack selection at the bodega too. I picked a few items there. I loved the modern contemporary style of the room and the shower products offered that smelled like coconut. I love how they left fortune cookies on my bed and then two complimentary cans of water in the mini-fridge. Last, but not least the location was amazing! It's off Hudson Street, which is not very touristy and more so local, which I like. Previously living in NYC, I always tend to avoid Midtown at all costs. The hotel is a short walk from the Spring Street A/E station and Canal St 1 station, so it is definitely easy to get around the city from here. Oh yes, and SoHo is only a 10-15 minute walk from the hotel, not bad at all!

The location of the hotel is perfect, about 8 minutes walk to all the Soho shopping areas; and unlike time square hotels, you can enjoy some quietness here at night and generally light traffic after 8pm even for Labor Day. We had a king bed room but the room is smaller than we thought, but I think this is a new concept for hotels in NY, i.e., cube rooms. The window is right next to the bed and there is no space between the bed and the window, no closet but there is hangers/hooks for a few clothes. The room is clean and has all we needed, but it would be great if they have coffee pot. The service is fantastic. We drove to NY and needed parking, the staff offered us valet parking for the first 24 hours and candidly told us there are free parking nearby during the weekend including Monday as a national holiday. The checking-in process was also pretty smooth. The lobby is beautify, like a coffee store, and good for people to work and chill. We are happy with our stay and will choose Arlo in the future.

First, the staff was friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Second, the hotel was beautiful inside. The common areas were warm and inviting. We stayed in a double twin room. While it was small, it was larger than expected. Cleanliness was the number one positive for the room. The location was convenient to Chinatown, Little Italy, Greenich Village, Brooklyn Bridge among other lower Manhattan locations. I will be staying this hotel again. I highly recommend it.

The property was great. It had a really modern relaxed vibe to the place. It was decorated in a really contemporary style. It was really clean and the location was great near the great shops and restaurants of Soho. The staff were all friendly and helpful. A guy called Edwyn was really helpful and friendly on our last day helping us with luggage storage and making sure we got back to the airport by arranging travel back to JFK on time for our flight home.

the room was really good and functional for the space. The hotel location is really perfect, walkable distance from the Chelsea market, the High Line, Soho, West village etc! We even walked to Brooklyn Bridge (it took us about an hour on a casual pace). Breakfast at the restaurant was really delicious! We recommend the polenta/mushroom dish and the avocado toast!
